In an amalgamation of praxis and research, bio-integrated design synthesizes the balance of science, art, design, and engineering, following the Krebs Cycle of Creativity III. It is here in this multifaceted intersection that nature is recognized for its brilliance and honored to be symbiotically mothered and designed to coexist with and grow alongside.
ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN_ARANDA\LASCH
Working at the architectural design firm, Aranda\Lasch, design was not a performative aesthetic but a way of life. Dedicated to experimental research and building methods, my time with the Tucson and New York-based firm involved modeling naturally sourced weaving materials, computation translation of forms, fabrication of models now housed in MoMA’s permanent collection, and assisting the long-standing collaboration with Terrol Dew Johnson a fiber artist of the Tohono O’odham nation.
