diøscuri, is a movement and sound exploration, dwelling on the symbiosis and tension of coexisting halves. A collaboration between myself and Karima Walker, the work premiered Spring of 2019. Dwelling within the profound architecture of “The Lung” at the Biosphere 2, a leading earth and planetary science research facility owned by the University of Arizona; the previous breathing mechanism for the complex came alive again, in literal purport. Augmenting the mobile architecture, the movement will be enveloped by an immersive art installation, yielding to sensorial transportation of perception and essence of the audience. Through this exploration of movement and stillness, sound and reverb, installation and environment, and architecture and lung, the intention of the art experience was to teleport the viewer to a heightened sense of self and sensory.
