NATHANAEL MYERS is an architectural bio-designer, interdisciplinary creative, and dancer from the Sonoran Desert. Awarded ‘distinction,’ he recently graduated with an MArch in Bio-Integrated Architectural Design from the University College of London, with an emphasis in biochemistry. Throughout his studies, projects focused on mitigating hyperobject concerns, including oil remediation, programmed material degradation, and functional ornamentation for augmented weathering.
With a BFA in Two-Dimensional Art [painting + drawing] from the University of Arizona, his artistic pursuits are formalized through stained glass, immersive storytelling, and set design. Exhibiting his work in multiple solo exhibitions across the States, notable group exhibitions include the United Nations, Tucson Museum of Art, Museum of Contemporary Art [Tucson], and Christie’s, New York. Myers has been recognized by NPR’s Arizona Public Media, Community Foundation for Southern Arts, Arizona Commission of the Arts, UrbanGlass, and New York Foundation for the Arts through the Rauschenberg Grant and as a Fulbright semi-finalist. Recent endeavors include a Writing Fellowship through his alma mater, Honors College; an Artistic Fellowship under the partnership of Dickie’s x COLLAB Innovation and Fabrication Lab; holding positions as Creative Director with Peter Sandel Design, Choreographer for the off-broadway musical, Only Place I Belong, and Designer for the Arts One Presents production of Sweeney Todd. In pursuit of a renaissance balancing of many crafts, Myers pursues creative opportunities with an erudite study of the arts and sciences.
