In a prolonged death watch

my cavity forms a crystalline prayer,

marbled of turquoise and pearl.

Gravity holding vice and pleasure hostage.

I watch from an analytical distance,

the mechanics of process

as gluttony's pyramid scheme

becomes uprooted and inverted.

Drained of yesterday,

stripped with a rope of mint leaves and clove.

A mandible massacre

Brought on with an onslaught of improper brushing, dire desire, & media filters.

Canal burial en routeunfurling the chastised porcelain

to speak its honest prose of prayer.
