INTO THE BREACH

Productivity returned as my enemy

even as my body fights an pandemic,

my brain wages the same war.

Efficiency pandemonium.

Down South

my heart suffers a blow of recognition‘

to keep & be kept’my spine,

a adjustment of gravity surrender

below the waist,

a whine of boredom?

neediness?

neglect?

I can’t tell anymore,

but that’s a different battle.

Collectively sieging my body nonetheless,

as I breached bedrest for

preprogrammed pageantry pining.
