1.48.116 is a physical embodiment of the divide surrounding LGBTQ matters, specifically with relational and religious concerns. The stimulus behind these works are of Myers personal experience and thought processes. Working in a reduction of material form, his two-dimensional work parallels a recent reduction of his faith, simplifying to understand the foundations of material and belief. Embroidered with the tension and religious apologetics, Myers gages a critical look into balancing the true nature of one's dogma with an established belief system. Accompanying the two-dimensional work are installations of found objects and elements removed from his parent’s home obstructing the gallery space.
